Founded in 1947, the university has 4,020 staff, including 1,557 with senior titles and several renowned professors. It hosts 22,367 undergraduates, 1,590 postgraduates, 613 international students, and 16,440 continuing education students. Its assets total over 1.466 billion yuan, including modern teaching facilities and a 2.6 million-volume library.
With a focus on international collaboration, the university partners with 48 institutions across 13 countries and has welcomed students from 38 nations through government scholarship programs.
